The Formula for God Working for You

A
fterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. (which means let it be so) Matthew 16:14-20

Playing the Blame Game Instead of Praying

Exodus 17:1-4
1 And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.
2 Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? Wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?
3 And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?
4 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

I Kings 11:9-11
9 And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice,
10 And had commanded him concerning this thing that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.
11 Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.

Continuing in His Word Can Only Make You a Disciple

In these verses of scripture, “If you continue” is the main topic. Paul when addressing the church at Galatia said, “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you that you should not obey the truth?” Then in another chapter, Paul says, “Ye did run well: who did hinder you that you should not obey the truth?” He also said, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty where with Christ hath made us free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” It’s all about continuing in the Word.

A Sign Between You and the Lord

Throughout history God, being in the old time an invisible God, used different things to be a sign that the Lord was the God of Israel: Sabbaths, rainbows, a pillar of fire, a pillar cloud, and circumcision.

Sign is defined as; an outward token, having a spiritual significance or evidence. God used signs to let his people recall His blessings, strengthen their faith, insure a promise or confirm a prophecy and to confirm His word. But the greatest was to let Israel know that His presence was with them, that He had not forsaken them.

Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God And All Other Things Shall Be Added Unto You

Luke 9:16-18

16) No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.

17) For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

18) Take heed therefore how ye hear; for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.

In reading these scriptures there are three quotes that stick out from all the other words
